Parks Canada is pleased to WAIVE entry fees on this special day. Celebrate the Halifax Citadel Society’s (formerly Halifax Citadel Regimental Association) 25th anniversary and catch the impressive Presentation of Colours ceremony. In the 19th century, “Colours” were consecrated flags carried by military units that provided a rallying point for infantry regiments in the line of battle. Emblazoned with regimental crests and battle honours, the Colours were the units’ most prized possessions. Join us at 2:00 p.m. to view the 78th Highlanders re-enact this historic activity in honour of this milestone.
