August 3, 2018 from 1:30pm to 4:15pm
Evergreen House
26 NEWCASTLE STREET
DARTMOUTH, NS
Afternoon Tea at Evergreen is back for summer 2018! Until August 31, guests will enjoy a classic Victorian pastime at the majestic and historic Dartmouth landmark, Evergreen House.
In honor of Helen Creighton’s designation as a person of National Historic Significant by Parks Canada, we will be having a special strawberry tea on August 3. It was a favorite of Helen’s and we thought it would be a fitting tribute. The menu will include homemade strawberry shortcake, cookies, lemonade and, of course, piping hot tea. It will be served in the backyard of Evergreen House overlooking Halifax Harbour (weather permitting).
Entertainment will be provided by Rosalee Peppard, an internationally recognized musician and Canada’s premier musical women’s oral-historian. She will perform her Maritime Heritage in Song – original songs and stories of Canadian heroines and favorite traditional and cover songs.
