Job Summary:

The position scope includes all Long-Term Care services provided at Ocean View as well as those through contractual arrangements/shared service model. The Nurse Educator will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and delivers education programs in consultation with the Leadership team. Ensures that an annual education and development plan is developed, implemented, and evaluated. Works with staff to develop learning plans for new and existing staff and provides opportunities to meet identified learning needs. Maintains records, compiles, and analyzes data and prepares reports on education initiatives and programs area of responsibility. Performs other duties as required that fall within the scope of this role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
  • Current registration with the provincial College of Registered Nurses is required.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to use electronic information systems, including but not limited to electronic health records, human capital management systems, etc. Education considered an asset.
  • Certification or diploma in Adult Education is an asset.
  • Specialized courses such as Foot Care, Palliative Care, Venipuncture, Alzheimer’s Disease, and other Dementia Care course completion are assets.

Salary Range: Ocean View offers a competitive compensation package including a comprehensive benefit package.

Rotation: Monday-Friday. With flexibility to work occasional evening and night if required
