Job Summary:
This is a Contract position with Port City Home Services:
The Foot Care Nurse provides advanced foot care to clients living in Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, as well as to clients living in the community in their homes and/or in a community clinic.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia or College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia required.
- Completion of the advanced and diabetic nursing foot care course required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with residents, families, community members and co-workers.
- Good health, demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Must be available a minimum of 16 hours per week.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation to provide service anywhere in Halifax Regional Municipality.
- Demonstrated ability to work with residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.
Salary Range: Compensation provided per client served
Rotation: Flexible schedule and shifts
