Facility Description:

Ocean View works in a social enterprise business model and currently works collaboratively with other long term care homes to share services and programs. In addition, our families are supported in community settings by a service agreement with Port City Home Services.

In total, we serve approximately 650 clients per year through long term care, adult day, foot care services, customer ride program, and in home supports. Our workplace is like a second home to about 450 employees and there are over 150 volunteers that contribute unpaid work to our enterprise.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Human Resources is a new role in our organization and will provide leadership and oversight for our human resources services and activities. Supported by a small team, the Director will be required to be a hands-on individual comfortable providing day to day support and execution of generalist human resources responsibilities. The Director will provide oversight for the staffing department that currently provides staffing services for long term and community type services in our enterprise.

We are searching for candidates with the following:

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3+ years experience in human resources management
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree with specialization in human resources
  • Qualified CPHR in good standing
  • A passion for quality and making the world a better place, especially for seniors living well in long term care homes
  • A passion for listening to varying views and perspectives and promoting an inclusive workplace
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license to allow travel from site to site
