Ocean View works in a larger social enterprise that currently consists of 2 long term care homes (Ocean View Continuing Care and The Birches Nursing Home) and Port City Home Services. Our passion is achieving the highest quality of services in a client/resident and family centered care model. We are currently recruiting for a Director of Resident and Family Experience to join our team at the Ocean View Continuing Care Center site.

The Board of Directors recently approved an ambitious strategic plan and we are looking for a seasoned individual with a Registered Nurse background to join the team. The anticipated start date for this position is no later than October 4^th, 2022.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Resident & Family Experience will provide operational and day to day leadership for our valued staff that provide direct services for our residents living at Ocean View Continuing Care Center.

We are searching for candidates with the following:

MUST HAVE:

• A minimum of 5+ years in a nurse leadership role in long term care.  
• Experience providing leadership in a resident and family centered care model
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• A passion for quality and making the world a better place, especially for seniors
• A proactive vision for long term and community care for seniors
• Access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license as local travel is required.

NICE TO HAVE:

• A Master’s Degree in Health/Business/Public Administration
• Certification in Gerontological nursing or related field in aging
• Certificate in Long Term Care Administration or willingness to obtain same.
• Experience working in an Accredited organization (Accreditation Canada)
