Facility Description: Ocean View is a Charitable organization that has been operating since the early 1960’s. We provide a variety of services, predominately for seniors and others folks that need a little extra help in day to day living. Between in care living and community supports, we proudly serve over 500 individuals each year through our 320+ staff and 100+ volunteers. Job Summary: Reporting to the Facility Support Manager, the Hairdresser provides hairdressing services to Residents residing at Ocean View in the Beauty Salon.  Occasionally the Hairdresser may provide service to residents on the Neighbourhoods.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized Hairdressing Program
  • Holds a valid Nova Scotia Masters Hairdressing License
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office an asset
  • Experience with Point of Sales systems as asset

Salary Range: In accordance with current collective agreement between Ocean View Continuing Care Centre and C.U.P.E. Local 1245.

Rotation: Combination of all shift types.  Position requires weekend work.  Schedule may change as necessary to ensure coverage.
