Until August 31\, guests will enjoy a classic Victorian pastime at the majestic and historic Dartmouth landmark\, Evergreen House.  \nIn honor of Helen Creighton’s designation as a person of National Historic Significant by Parks Canada\, we will be having a special strawberry tea on August 3. It was a favorite of Helen’s and we thought it would be a fitting tribute. The menu will include homemade strawberry shortcake\, cookies\, lemonade and\, of course\, piping hot tea. It will be served in the backyard of Evergreen House overlooking Halifax Harbour (weather permitting).  \n \n Entertainment will be provided by Rosalee Peppard\, an internationally recognized musician and Canada’s premier musical women’s oral-historian. DESCRIPTION:August 4\, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm \nSpatz Theatre 1855 Trollope Street Halifax \nThe Juno Award-winning Toronto Mass Choir (TMC) will be embarking on its first Eastern Canadian tour beginning July 31st through August 6th\, with a stop at Spatz Theatre in Halifax for a concert with the Nova Scotia Mass Choir on Saturday\, August 4\, 2018. \nSharing their best hits along with songs from their new CD release “By Special Request”\, TMC will showcase a night full of both contemporary and traditional gospel music. Formed in 1988\, TMC has performed throughout much of Canada\, however\, this will be their first foray east of Quebec. \nNow in their 30th season and with 12 albums to their credit\, the Toronto Mass Choir has been a staple in the Canadian gospel music scene and has performed extensively in Canada and the United States and internationally to Romania\, Hungary\, Poland\, England\, Italy and the Caribbean. TMC’s mission is “To create and perform Gospel music that will draw all people into the awesome presence of God”. \nUnder the musical direction of Owen ‘O’Sound’ Lee\, the Nova Scotia Mass Choir (NSMC) is a multicultural\, award-winning\, community gospel choir based in Halifax\, Nova Scotia. Formed in 1992\, NSMC has released three CDs – He Never Failed Me Yet\, Heaven\, and most recently\, in 2016\, Immanuel.
